Margaret Faherty will be running a new extra curricular music class. Below are some of the items covered during this class.
Week 1
Song Singing: Name that tune
Identify all the cartoons in the song.
Talk about tempo of song.
Learn to sing the song, break up into groups with a group singing a verse
Word search related to the song
Identify body parts for percussion- clapping, flicking, stamping, rubbing etc. Make loud and soft sounds.
Clap the beats of each child’s name. Write name with a different colour for each beat
Week 2
Review Song Name that Tune
Pictures with 2/ 3/ 4 beats. Identify item and clap the beat
Story of Little red Riding hood using body sounds.
Listen to a piece of music and respond with drawing
Week 3
Explore body sounds
The Rainforest game Pg 8/9
Song/Rhyme: it’s raining. It’s pouring
Noah Snap: Animal sounds. Two groups-pick a card, win a point if you can make the sound
